Registration will be open on April 1 and will stay open through the end of May 31st.

Due to increases in umpire fees, tournament fees, and the need for up-to-date equipment and jerseys at this age level, registration fees have increased.  These fees are also all-inclusive for the season.

• VFW (16U) Registration fee:  $550
• Legion (19U) Registration fee:  $550
• HYAA Program fee:  $35

Summer ball information

• Practice and games typically start after the school ball season ends
  • Normally towards the end of May.
• Games and tournaments will be from the beginning of June through, the 3rd week in July.
• State tournaments, (Legion Only) if we qualify are at the end of July/beginning of August.

Volunteer Information

The VFW will have some mandatory volunteering during the summer.

VFW Volunteer times: We have 2 tournaments that we will have to volunteer for, and I'd like to split the team into two for these volunteering times.

• #1: Mid June
  • We will be in charge of maintaining Grossman field during one of the HYAA hosted tournaments. We may have to run scoreboards, keep book, do announcing, and field maintenance.

• #2: End of July
  • This is a "pay it forward" opportunity. We will be hosting the American Legion Substate tournament at Veterans park. If all goes well, we will host this tournament every year. This will benefit both VFW and Legion teams going forward. The VFW team will be responsible for field maintenance, score keeping, and tear down after the tournament. This is a tremendous opportunity for the kids.
